Love and art are the sole saviors of humanity. Without them man would perish to his most violent darkest desires. Love shelters us from hunger, pain, greed and loneliness. Art gives us light where there only appears to be darkness. So read the ideals of an uthopic painter that went by the name Gustav Klimt. Life made him realize he was painting an utopia, something too beautiful to be convieabale in the rhelms of the flesh. Despite of this his golden paintings, his sirens and his dark eyed women still wonder us today. We all need of something unreal to hold on to. Uthopia for the broken dreamers soul. Klimt’s paintings suggest to us frozen moments of love, desire and sexuality. beyond this the fight of unity-life and death. Outside the paintings this moments can be disgusting to the eye, animal, wild, ephemeral. What the master does with his brushstrokes is make the beauty of the moment salient to the eye. He manipulates the proportions of the human body to make his figures long, elegant, almost suggestive of spirituality. When he painted women he did not wish to paint just the woman but what was behind the woman. A fight between maddening sexuality and femininity. Elements beyond nudity that reflect this in his work are pollen, pistils. semen and ovules. The desire  that marks his time and era of creating was  to unite all the arts. If art is to save man from man, then it has to be an  all in one. As a result in a painting there is architecture, music, poetry-dance. All the beaux arts can be seen in one space, one moment, one story. Klimt favored Mozart and Schubert as musical mentors. Because of this he painted them both in figure and in metaphor.  Symbols are important to understand the works of Klimt. Beyond his art, symbols are important to understand life, the actions of our lovers, the whispered silences and the soft caresses. To understand Klimt one needs to understand life if not to feel it; To desire it with every single nerve in an aching body.  Art is not a metaphor of life, art is life.
